Among the many college sex columns out there, the first one I knew about was at UC Berkeley and I’m glad to see the column’s still going strong. Current Sex on Tuesday columnist(and, yes, I get some on Tuesdays, thank you very much) Andrea DeMaray does a good job balancing sex info with sex politics and I like her writing style — breezy with a hot damn! kind of attitude. She makes reading about sex fun again. Check out her current pieces, especially for the interview with Carol Queen.
The Daily Cal, however, goes on better: a whole sex issue. Check that out as well.
In the “Dear Conservative Columnist” category: I know you’re being wickedly facecious when you welcome sadomasochists to Massachusetts, using the old “horse out of the barn” ploy to argue against gay marriage, but you know what? A lot of us sadomasochists ARE STRAIGHT. And a lot of us ARE MARRIED. Your argument is based on a false premise, bucko.
On the lighter side of queer friendly, I’ve been assured by none other that Brad himself that (and I quote) “As if I would ever jest about something as serious as a handjob!” means he will give out handjobs for buying a book he recommends. I have to check back with him about any possibly expiration dates in the deal (because God only knows when I can get to his neck of the woods), but damn if that doesn’t hit me right in my transgressive little heart. Really, what (nominally) straight girl wouldn’t want a handjob from the likes of Brad? The idea puts me right into Fag Hag Heaven! And fag-hagging aside, it’s a downright pervy, delightful prospect!
You know, the book may be fucking brilliant but so’s Brad for creating such a come on. Hey, maybe we can mutually read our copies one handed! (I wonder if he’ll autograph mine after the fact.)
