Film-watching overload doesn’t last all that long.
Say what?
OK, the explanation: I spent Saturday and Sunday watching roughly twelve hours of film each day. It was exhausting and I was loopy from too much movie but, to my surprise, I had NO hangover. None whatsoever. Yes, Cinekink was a lot of fun and full of kink-and-film variety.
Right now, I’m busy writing up all my movie notes to present to you in tomorrow’s entry. For now, let me say this: Cinekink is an amazing event. Part grass roots, part art house, part cutting edge, part obscure and likely to remain that way. Its range of presentations is admirable and deserves far more attention than it’s getting.
Kinksters and film lovers take notice: You’re really missing something by not attending this annual festival. To kinksters in particular: You’re really overlooking a gem in our community. The festival deserves more than its annual die-hard supporters. It deserves your time and dollars. Next year, van pool or book a bus but get your leathered/fetished ass to NYC and spend an afternoon and evening with its offerings. There were plenty of empty seats this year and they need to be filled. Besides, where else are you going to find sissy-maid and baby-girl ticket takers?
Want to see one thing you missed? Here’s the Cinekink trailer that preceeded each program block — and that was just the lead-in, folks. The films were something else.
Which I’ll detail tomorrow. In the meantime, pass that trailer link around, won’t you?
