Time to report the release of two new anthologies that include my work.
You might know Russ Kick from his anti-establishment FOI actions and maybe you’re even familiar with his work with the publisher, The Disinformation Company, so here’s his new book, Everything You Know About Sex Is Wrong: The Disinformation Guide to the Extremes of Human Sexuality (and everything in between). It’s a collection of sex essays from notables of all kinds. I’m greatly pleased to be included among its many authors, some of whom I consider greater peers and some of whom I never expected to be by-lined along side (like academics Jay Gertzman, Joseph W. Slade, and Vern Bullough). My work is an essay about sex and personal radicalism at midlife and I hope you’ll seek out the book to read it.
Likewise, I’m delighted that Marilyn Jaye Lewis included a bisexual tale of mine, Leitmotifs, in her anthology Stirring Up a Storm: Tales of the Sensual, the Sexual, and the Erotic. I’ve long admired Thunder’s Mouth Press, and always hoped to be in a book of theirs, and that’s finally come to pass. Even more surprising to me is the company I”m keeping here, from former mystery writer/now chic lit author Lauren Henderson (who’s a whirlwind of energy, if you ever have the chance to meet her) to the literary might of Joyce Carol Oates and Margaret Atwood. Wow.
Joyce Carol Oates — my late mother would be proud.
Before the week’s out, I plan to blog about other author’s books. I have a big stack of such titles and I’m long overdue in pointing them out to you — plus I hope to break the once-a-week impass I’m having with blogging right now. Which I blame on the energy it takes to write novels. Yes, novels. More on that in coming weeks.
