Last week, a small number of incidents amazed and amused me. The first occurred while watching CNN’s The Situation Room. I think Wolf Blitzer was talking to Bay Buchanan and either James Carville or Paul Begala about the Mark Foley situation. I can’t remember because a small number of Bay’s words stopped me dead in my tracks. Essentially, she said the matter wasn’t a gay or straight problem. Amazingly, her words sounded a lot like the public statement the HRC said about the Foley matter. Unfortunately, when I went to confirm what she said via CNN’s transcripts, her words were lost in the “crosstalk” of the appearance. Damn.
On a funny note, I got a big kick when, during a show about women aging, Geena Davis leaned over and whispered in Oprah’s ear. After the word Astroglide was spoken and Oprah asked “Astroglide?” Priceless.
Another amusement: Clicking through Artful Surrender‘s t-shirt selections. I especially like “What was that safeword again?” LOL!
Wonder what this week will bring — hope it’s as engaging as last week.
