I’m so late in posting this news to Pursed Lips, but I’m pleased to point you to my first significant interview. Fellow author Ashley Lister asked me some keenly targeted questions for the new edition of the Erotica Readers and Writers Association website. And much to my surprise, I discovered I had some expansive answers for him.
Really, it was a delight. So much of my writing life is solitary — almost hermetic, really — that I really treasure the opportunity to talk about the writing process. In this case, we focused on story germination and development. I also appreciated Ashley asking after Inequities in a way that allowed me to elaborate some basic constrasts between the erotic short story and the erotic novel.
I won’t be the final word on the matter either. In fact, I bet a plethora of opinion will emerge as Ashley interviews more authors in coming months. So if you’ve repeatedly wondered what sparks a writer’s imagination and what drives the writerly beast, consider following Ashley’s column month-to-month at the EWRA website.
