As an author, I explore the many facets of love and lust in contemporary and fantasy novels and I love every minute of it. I must admit, my journey’s been rather unconventional. And, I suppose, remains so.

First, I saw well over five dozen erotic short stories into print through publishers like Caroll and Graf, Melcher Media, Berkley Heat, Thunder Mountain Press, Cleis Press, Blue Moon Books, Alyson Books, and the Venus Book Club. Then I stepped away from the print world — long considered the industry pinnacle — to explore the world of ebook publishing. I’ve always been a crow eying shiny things, but didn’t snatch the treasure until E-Ink reading devices came along. I now have several novels available as ebooks.

In 2011, I joined Lori Perkins in organizing her brainchild, Ravenous Nights, a monthly erotic/erotic romance reading series in New York City. (See the Ravenous Nights tab for more information.) And later in the same year, I joined Ravenous Romance as an acquiring editor and anthologist. Watch my Acquiring Editor tab for details.

I love books in any medium and my house is filled with print books. I’m a dedicated bibliophile, collecting older editions of S/M erotica, general gallantia, and good ol’ dirty books – as much as my starving artist budget allows, that is. I collect and read contemporary erotica and erotic romance as well and now a portion of my library is, of course, a digital repository.

I’m a long-time blogger and sometimes podcaster. Pursed Lips is among the oldest blogs to bravely explore sex in our culture, a baby I birthed in 1999 when bloggers numbered around 200 people! I also created Pursed Lips, Speaking, a podcast about the erotic word and world. Someday soon, I hope to revive the podcast.

Outside of my writer self, I’m a polyamorist, pervert, and erotic adventurer, a wife and mother, a daughter and sister, a friend to others, queer supporter, confirmed New Englander, and owner of several dear pets. I admire the golden rule, especially when its practice keeps people in good loops of karmic joy.
