New Media Tidbits

When I’m not spinning erotic tales, I dabble in other new media outlets. I’m pretty sporadic in putting up content, but I hope you’ll take the time to explore and enjoy what I do manage to produce. Just click on each title and away you go!

Oh yes, a NSFW disclaimer: Much of this content isn’t workplace safe so exercise discretion, please.

Pursed Lips

Without a doubt, Pursed Lips is my signature effort. I started keeping this weblog in 1999, long before weblogs dominated the web. We were a small community of people back then — only about 300 individuals, most of whom worked in the tech world. I was perhaps the first person to write solely about the intersection between sex and culture, a maverick effort at the time. Today, sexblogs are commonplace and often far more explicit than anything I blogabout (I save the steamy stuff for publication.), but Pursed Lips remains near and dear to me.

Vintage Vignettes

A bone fide bibliophile, I collect old, uncommon erotic tomes, especially old flagellation tracts. Then I provide a glimpse into these books through my Vintage Vignettes, brief videos that present an old book’s illustration and associated text. Granted, I only have one vignette up right now, but that’ll change! Keep an eye out for more, OK?

Pursed Lips, Speaking

I straddle the line between introvert and extrovert. I need and love a fair amount of solitude, perfect for a writer. But I have a sociable side as well, one which loves to chat. Eventually, my inner extrovert left me no choice but to open my mouth and start podcasting. Thus Pursed Lips, Speaking was born. Here, I wax sundry about sexuality, read old erotica aloud, and even confess to some of my own sexual experiences and tastes. This is purient podcasting, so beware: I don’t mince words. Especially the dirty ones.

Flicker photos

My Flickr account features a small selection of erotic art from antiquarian books. I plan to scan and post additional works from my library. Or, as the case may be, spot on ebay. (Hey, I’m not wealthy enough to own that Lord of Rochester collection.)

Please note: Some of the images are quite explicit, so use personal judgment before visiting.
